I write about my 2-year journey on the National autocross circuit, going from “really sucks and doesn’t know it” to “sucks less and knows what he needs to work on.” If you want to know how I spend most of my time and money over the past two years, this short novel will tell you.

I take the Mazda Miata to its first autocross of the year. I bring Jose along, who planned on driving his Acura Integra until he found lug nut problems, after which I let him codrive my car.

I have my very first experience at a race track. I travel to Putnam Park with David and Collin and work the NASA event as a volunteer, getting a behind-the-scenes look at how track days and races are run.
