Beckie needed us to gather some materials for the wedding seating chart, so after a delicious breakfast at a cafe in Vauxhall Park, we went off in search of an arts and crafts store for some poster board.
On the way to Rymans, we walked through a tunnel that was covered floor to ceiling with graffiti. The solvent fumes were so heavy that you could probably get high from them alone if you weren’t one of the folks hanging out there smoking. I took a glance inside an open door to see that there was a nightclub setup in one of these spaces — what a cool place to party.
We picked up the poster board and the other little things needed for the seating chart and headed to Josh and Beckie’s house. While Lily and Beckie assembled the seating chart, Josh introduced me to his folks and we had a short discussion in his kitchen about motorcycling, US politics, and electric cars.
The last thing that we needed to do was to get Lily’s nails done. Beckie had recommended a specific place, and Lily had scheduled a late afternoon appointment. We headed out there to find ourselves nearly in the shadow of the Palace of Westminster.
While Lily had her nails done, I wandered outside the shop and ended up chilling in the Victoria Tower Gardens South Park. I took some pictures of the Victoria Tower in the setting sun and then just sat on the grass watching the people and off-leash dogs move across the park.
We went to another arts and crafts store, the London Graphic Centre and browsed around until closing time. This place was one of several arts and crafts stores that was on Lily’s list to-see list.
Afterwards, we had dinner at a nice Italian restaurant next to the Leicester Square subway station before heading back to the AirBnB for the night.
